ZigZag (serpentine, no sag), double cone (hour glass), Stockinette, tacks, twines, piping cord and zips. Welcome to the Skiddaw Upholstery web site where you can buy with confidence from an experienced Upholsterer we can trace our origins back to the 1940's see our history and hope you will find what you require on this site, we think our prices are the most competitive you will find, all the products we sell we use in our workshop and all comply with the relevant fire regulations. We supply mainly to the DIY enthusiast but do supply to trade, especially with our covered buttons, and we find with less and less qualified Upholsterers around more people are doing their own repairs and recoveries please contact us for any advice.

We specialise in our covered button service in your fabric, we do loop back in 4 sizes, prong in our most popular 30's size with a 50mm prong and serrated nail back with 3 shaft lengths also in 30's, we have plastic hook back in 30's ideal where there is any water or condensation we also sell needles and thread to use with the loop back, if unsure which button is best for your project give us a ring for advice, click picture for details

We supply 6 webbings 51mm (2") and 38mm (1 1/2") pirelli rubber extremely hard wearing the best on the market, atlas rubberized, and we have elastic a cheaper alternative to pirelli sold in different qualities most can be used for either seat or backs, we have the black and white C12 herringbone 50mm webbing normally used in dining chair seats or where springs are used very hard wearing and finally 10lb jute used on backs or arms or on seats for very light usage, click on pictures for details click here for pirelli peg and slot straps as used in Ercol seating
