I live on an Island and many companies use this an excuse for poor service you have proved this should not be the case. Sofa now repaired for less than ten pounds including postage. Shopping with Skiddaw Upholstery I found easy and very successful.
The web site was easy to use and I quickly found what I wanted. But to make sure that I was specifying the correct size, I checked by phone and Alan Watson was very helpful. Then using the web site I ordered the zigzag springs I required.
The only problem I had was trying to complete my credit card details; the site refused to take me to the final page. However a quick final phone call enabled me to do this with ease.
Early on the fifth day following I received my order. Many thanks.

Thanks for the 15 replacement rubber webbing straps for our old Ercol settee. I fitted them with no difficulty on my own following your helpful website instructions which were very clear. Went like a dream. We’ve had the studio couch, bought in 1966, stored away in the loft for about 35 years and I thought I’d restore it for use in a beach hut. In fact it’s so good now it has pride of place in our house with the set of covers as good as new!

My order was received yesterday, and I fitted the webbing to my 2 chairs in the afternoon. It took about 90 minutes. No doubt there is a special tool, but I used a bootlace, lots of Vaseline and brute strength. The second chair was much quicker to do than the first, but I do have sore hands. Anyway, the webbing was a perfect fit and my chairs are now as good as new.

The ercol straps arrived today and I fitted them without too much difficulty.
The last time the straps were replaced by someone they were too wide and were stapled in place.
The customer was really pleased to see that the job had been done properly this time.
Its nice to work with someone from Up North again – I was brought up in Kendal and my brother manages the Tower Bank Arms in Near Sawrey, Hawkeshead.
Unfortunately I have been exiled to the south but hope to get back to civilisation when I retire.

Many thanks for your advice and the speedy response. The ercol straps arrived today and I fitted them without too much difficulty. The last time the straps were replaced by someone they were too wide and were stapled in place. The customer was really pleased to see that the job had been done properly this time. Its nice to work with someone from Up North again – I was brought up in Kendal and my brother manages the Tower Bank Arms in Near Sawrey, Hawkeshead. Unfortunately I have been exiled to the south but hope to get back to civilisation when I retire.

Thanks for the fast delivery of the Pirelli bands. I fitted them to my parents chair yesterday (perfect fit) and they were amazed - their 30-year-old chair is as good as new. I had anticipated just stapling webbing across, I didn’t know the exact same bands would be still available. Thanks for your help in this, you’ve made an 87 and 85 year-old couple very happy.
